Symitri, Inc. (“Symitri” and “We”) is a company created to offer ad services powered by technology designed with privacy first. We designed our technology to balance publishers’ and advertisers’ needs with individuals’ online privacy rights. Our unique technology allows advertisers (such as your favorite brands) to target ad campaigns to consumers without exposing consumer personal data to third parties in the digital advertising supply-chain.

Symitri is proud to share with you our Guiding Privacy Principles. These principles steer everything we do. We describe our privacy practices in more detail in the official Privacy Policy.

  • Consumer personal data is best protected if it is not exposed to a third party, even for a legitimate and limited purpose such as marketing for the advertiser. Symitri’s services and technology are designed to target consumers without sharing consumer personal data.
  • Publishers, advertisers and their agencies should be able to maintain control of the personal data of their customers. They should not be required by the digital advertising supply chain to entrust third parties with consumer personal information. Symitri’s technology eliminates the risk to advertisers and publishers of a data breach involving third parties.

Individuals share personal data with companies they trust, including brands that advertise and publishers whose websites they visit. Brand advertisers have personal information about their customers and consumers, and publishers have personal information about their audience.

Before Symitri’s technology, brands that advertise to their customers and consumers on the open web (basically, the Internet) are normally required to share, for ad targeting purposes, some consumer personal data with third parties in the digital advertising supply chain. Advertisers, publishers, and third parties typically lower the risk involved in sharing consumer personal data by (a) using pseudonyms (such as a persistent code or other identifier), and (b) requiring all parties in the supply chain to agree by contract to limit their use of the personal data shared. In this setup, individual consumers would need to contact third parties in the advertiser’s supply chain to exercise their data rights under applicable law.

Symitri’s technology offers an alternative—precise ad targeting without the need for advertisers and publishers to share consumer personal data with another party—not with each other or Symitri or another third party in the ad technology supply chain. Less data privacy risk for all parties involved, including consumers.
